SitePlumb ("SitePlumb", "we", "us") is a project-management application for residential construction, available at siteplumb.com. It connects builders, subcontractors, and homeowners around a shared record of a build. This policy explains what information SitePlumb stores, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. Account information. When you create an account: your name, email address, password, and your role in the company or project (for example owner, project manager, subcontractor, or homeowner). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see or store your actual password.
Project content. The working records of the job sites you create or join: schedules and bookings, daily logs, selections and installation specifications, punch items, permits and inspection notes, documents, photos, invoice and payment records, and cost and budget records. This content is the product — it exists so the people on your project can see it, according to their role.
Contacts you add. Builders keep a roster of subcontractors: names, phone numbers, email addresses, trades, and company details. If you scan a business card, the text is read on your device — the card photo is not sent to a recognition service. To find a company's website, SitePlumb may send the company name or the email's domain to Google Places and Clearbit.
Device and diagnostics. A push-notification token if you turn notifications on; the app version, device type, and diagnostic events (which features ran, errors encountered) tied to a device identifier; and an offline copy of your workspace kept in your browser's storage so SitePlumb works without a connection.
QuickBooks (optional). If you connect QuickBooks, we store the connection tokens Intuit issues and a record of which costs were exported. We never see your QuickBooks password.
What we don't do: SitePlumb does not process payments — invoices and payment entries are records only, and money never moves through SitePlumb. We do not sell or rent your information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not show ads.
To run the service: syncing your project between devices and members, sending the notifications you enable, showing each person what their role permits, providing support when you contact us, and diagnosing problems so the app improves. Emails from SitePlumb are transactional — password resets, account notices — sent from noreply@siteplumb.com. We don't send marketing email without your consent.
Your project's members, by role. The builder sees everything on their job sites. Homeowners and subcontractors see what their role permits — for example, subcontractors do not see homeowner billing, and homeowners see their own site only. These limits are enforced by server-side security rules, not just by the app's screens.
Service providers that host and operate SitePlumb: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (database, file storage, authentication, notifications, server functions), Cloudflare (domain and email routing), and GitHub Pages (app delivery). Google Places and Clearbit receive only company-lookup queries as described above. Intuit is involved only if you connect QuickBooks. Each processes data to provide their service to us, under their own security commitments.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SitePlumb or its users.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account inside the app at any time: Settings → Privacy & legal → Delete my account.
Diagnostic records tied to your account are deleted with it. Residual copies clear from routine backups on their normal cycle.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to project data is gated by per-role security rules evaluated on Google's servers on every read and write. No system is perfectly secure, but access to your content always requires both a valid sign-in and membership on the specific job site.
SitePlumb is a tool for running construction projects and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
You can view and correct your account information inside the app, export your records by contacting us, and delete your account as described above. SitePlumb operates from the United States (Michigan). If the privacy law of your state or country gives you additional rights — such as access, correction, deletion, or portability — we will honor them; email support@siteplumb.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after that means the updated policy applies.
